چکیده

This conceptual paper considers in some detail Nonaka’s Dynamic Theory of Knowledge Creation. Especially the concept of Ba or Basho is explored with the explicit goal to figure out its potential applicability as a tool for the enhancement of learning in Collaborative Networked Organisations (CNOs). To that end, its firm grounding in East-Asian thinking is further analysed, and some similarities and differences with another tool – Chaordic Systems Thinking (CST) – are described. It is concluded that Nonaka’s theory can support learning in CNOs, and that it might be regarded an alternative view of CST.
